According to estimates, the trend will continue positively.

Area

Berlin-Charlottenburg – probably one of the most elegant districts in the west of Berlin. Formerly an independent district of the capital, it merged with Wilmersdorf in 2001. The so-called “City West” has always been known for its luxurious stores, department stores, galleries, hotels and its unique charm. Unmistakable and internationally popular is of course the heart of the district, the Kurfürstendamm. Its side streets exude upper-class flair, which is emphasized by the beautiful house facades with ornate entrances. If you’re looking for shopping, you can’t miss the legendary 3.5-kilometer-long shopping street. From large fashion chains to luxury labels, all the well-known names are represented. A detour to the Bikini House is also worthwhile. The building from the 1950s has become a trendy shopping mall, where things are younger and hipper than you would expect them to be. Here you can stroll to live jazz music through unusual stores off the major retail chains.
A little further north, in the area of Mierendorffkiez and home to our “Sophie” property, things are a little quieter, but still as livable as Charlottenburg itself. International restaurants, various medical practices, stores, schools as well as businesses for daily needs can be found here in a multitude. But what would such a lively district be without the necessary portion of greenery? This is provided by the Bonhoefferufer and probably the most beautiful baroque palace in Berlin: Charlottenburg Palace. On the opposite side of the “Sophie” property lies the residence of the Hohenzollern dynasty, complete with the palace park, the Great Orangery, and its beautiful French-style palace garden. Part of the Spree River also runs through it, flowing into the large carp pond and crossing the garden area.
In terms of mobility, Charlottenburg offers all the advantages of a large city. From the train station Zoologischer Garten, you can take several S-Bahn trains to the Hauptbahnhof main train station with a 9-minute ride. In about 20 minutes, you can either take a bus or subway to bustling Kreuzberg or be at Alexanderplatz in Mitte. Very close to the “Sophie” property in Tegeler Weg, you can take bus 109 to the Zoologischer Garten as well as to Tegel, from where the transport connections lead all the way to the city center.
