What do you think about German food? Do you like sausages, potato and sauerkraut? We will show you the best places in Berlin, where you can enjoy this food & can get the information about German Cuisine.

1. Nansen

German Cuisine

The chef of the Nansen restaurant decided to approach traditional German cuisine with imagination. Recommend try here choukrut , a winter dish of sauerkraut and five kinds of meat. The cabbage was very tender and finely cut. The meat cut into neat pieces and on top – in the form of a hint of chic – a green leaf for decoration. The menu with non-standard combinations of familiar tastes is very diverse, as well as the beer list.

2. Maultaschen Manufaktur

German Cuisine

A place where exclusively German dumplings are served – a traditional dish of southern Germany. Every day, hundreds of the freshest meat or vegetarian dumplings are made here. Cooked in different ways: fried and boiled, served with broth or potato salad. They charge €10 for a serving and €2 for a drink. The restaurant is very popular, so the opportunity to take away food is a big plus.

3. Nola's am Weinberg

The restaurant itself looks like a village house somewhere in the Alpine mountains. In winter, it is best to order goulash, fondue and mulled wine here. In the summer – all kinds of variations of spinach dishes and cheeses. Most importantly, in summer you can sit on the terrace and admire the lilies in the Weinberg Park pond. I advise you to come here together – it will turn out romantic and not very expensive.

4. Nante Eck

German Cuisine

A restaurant on the Unter den Linden, decorated in the style of old Berlin in the 1900s. They also prepare Traditional German cuisine. For example, the menu includes Prussian veal liver and Spreewald pan with fish, as well as the popular pork leg with sauerkraut and potatoes. Wash it all down with Berlin white beer.

5. Zur letzten Instanz

This is one of the oldest restaurants in Berlin, existing since 1621. The place is truly historical: even Napoleon Bonaparte has been here.

The interior is authentic, with massive wooden furniture, brick floors, a spiral staircase and a 200-year-old tiled stove. At Zur letzten Instanz, you can try traditional German dishes: grilled knuckle, pork belly and spiced cabbage. It includes Beer.

6. Faustus

German Cuisine

The contemporary noble bar was opened in December 2003 as an alternative to the numerous cocktail bars. In an old Berlin living room, rustic, modern ambience, Rhenish atmosphere and Bavarian cosiness are paired. The demand for traditional German dishes has increased so much in recent years that it was almost inevitable for the owners to develop a concept with typical German cuisine.

True to the motto: “Origin has a future”, the “Faustus” offers its guests a culinary city trip across Germany, whether from Munich to Berlin or from Leipzig to Cologne, all typical local specialties are represented here.

Guests feel comfortable with a freshly tapped beer or a glass of selected national and international wines, home-made dishes typical of the country such as grilled knuckle, Wiener schnitzel, Königsberger dumplings, tarte flambée and rustic cosiness.
